Head hand heart

Head, hand and heart. The three body parts reflect thoughts, actions and feelings, or in the frame of psychology thinking, you also know them as cognitive, affective and behavioral. These three elements are considered to form a full and complete human being.

This 3H approach is also adopted as the foundation of Waldorf education that emphasizes the development of students as a whole and thoroughly, not only fixed on the cognitive side. The educational method initiated by education expert Rudolf Steiner is then developed into an international movement involving more than 600 schools in 60 countries.

In your daily life, you can apply the holistic concept of 3H to obtain a balanced and whole life harmony. Ignoring one of the elements, either thoughts, feelings or actions can cause imbalances that can lead to frustration, stress, anger, disappointment, guilt and anxiety. In the end, your mental and physical health are at stake.

Conversely, if you get used to aligning the contents of your head, feelings and actions, then you will easily feel sufficient and happy.

Therefore, some people trigger the fourth H, which is happiness, as a result obtained when the first three Hs can go hand in hand.

The three elements are the important factors that determine the clarity of purpose in your life. You're advised to always ask the questions of what, why and for whom you do your daily activities. The what question represents the contents of your head, the why the motivation of your heart, and the for whom the purpose of your action carried out by your hands. Your answers to these three questions will become the lantern that guides you to see your life's purpose more clearly.

So, have you asked what, why and for whom all of the activities you will do today? If not, perhaps it's time for you to reconcile the contents of your head to match the feelings in your heart and the actions taken by your hands. Hopefully, in this way, your life can be more balanced and happy.
